NEXT YEAR
Apart from the traditional 1-day events/outings, your committee is keen to provide members the opportunity to explore the greater NSW and beyond with some 3-6 day bus trips. Ideally your committee would like to have one of these trips in the first half of the year and one in the second half. As you would appreciate the cost of these trips is not cheap, but we have found a tour operator who would give us value for money and provide a bus solely for our members, providing we can get a group of 30 plus together. We would also subsidise these trips as much as possible. We are looking at the following destinations and would appreciate any feedback prior to a final decision, which we will make in mid-July. I would also say it is important that if you wish to go you advise us of your commitment as we have to book months in advance.
Canberra Highlights – 4 days & 3 nights in Autumn or Spring. Everywhere in Canberra you will find new exhibitions & attractions. During autumn the colours are stunning & in spring there is Floriade & the Beautifull Tulip Top Gardens. In addition enjoy a scenic day in the Snowy Mountains. Lunches are not included on this short getaway. Stay in comfort & style at the Best Western Garden City Hotel
Sapphire Coast – 6 days fully inclusive. Explore the stunning south coast of NSW & visit Merimbula, Eden, Bermagui, Cobargo, Central Tilba & Mallacoota. Travel via the Coastal route with a visit to Mogo Zoo.
Griffiths & Riverina – 6 days fully inclusive. Explore Griffith, & Leeton. Sample the local produce & enjoy the diversity of the scenery, vineyards, orchards, rice farms. a cotton gin & the extraordinary new Whitton Malt House. Stay in the town centre at Griffith’s Econo Lodge
Lightning Ridge – 7 days fully inclusive. Overnight provided at the All Settlers Motor Inn Tamworth before 4 nights in Lightning Ridge at the Wallangulla Motel to explore Lightning Ridge & the Opal Fields. Overnight at the North Parks Motel on our return
I await your comments.
Cheers,
